In May 2010, the second year of the restoration started. The Restoration Committee team knw that in the field across from the cemetery, there had been the home of the Parish Priest.
The crew spent some time looking through that site and identified the site of the old well.
Old wells are a dangerous hazard, so they are generally covered to prevent people from falling into the well. What is really interesting about this well is that the people that covered the well, made a cover using local sandstone, as shown in the picture. Note how they had inscribed the words "OLD WELL" into the stone.
