Before the Restoration

This is what the cemetery looked like in 2008.  As you can see, it looks nothing like what you will see on a visit today. 

Growing up in the area, we would visit the cemetery from time to time, to see our ancestor, Vitalis McDonald.  The cemetery was never in good shape during those years.  Think crooked gravestones, broken gravestones and gravestones sunken into the ground.  There was not a good road from the beach road to the cemetery, so almost everything you see today has changed.
