One of the resources for many who visit this site is the site of Basil Campbell. Here is a description from his homepage:
This site contains research I have done on my Scottish Highland ancestry.
My ancestors arrived on Prince Edward Island, Canada from Scotland during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
Surnames in my Ancestor Tree include Campbell, Gillis, MacDonald, MacDougall, MacEachern, MacGillivray, MacInnis, MacIntyre, MacLellan and MacPhee.
Also included in this site are newspaper excerpts from Prince Edward Island Newspapers from 1791 onwards. Most of the Vital Statistics from Lots 46 and 47 and many articles from Lot 45 from newspapers I looked at are included. Many excerpts that refer to the surnames given above from the North Shore of P. E. I. from Lot 35 to Lot 47 (Grand Tracadie to East Point) are included. Other comunities referred to frequently include Charlottetown, Orwell, Vernon River, Georgetown, Montague, Launching, Little Pond, Bedeque and Lot 14.
