She was the daughter of Joe Donald Hector McDonald and Margaret (Fisher) McDonald, and they lived at "the Corner" in Monticello.

Alexander "Sandy the Fiddler" McDonald (1881)
He was a son of John "Blue" and Ann (nee McQueen McDonald. He was married twice. His first wife was Elizabeth Mary (nee McIntyre). They resided in Naufrage. A family tree for this family may be found on The Island Register.

Alexander McDonald (1886)
THE CHARLOTTETOWN HERALD, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 1886
DEATH: MACDONALD - At Falconwood Hospital, on the 26th ult., Alexander Macdonald, aged 52 years. The deceased formerly belonged to Clear Spring, Lot 44.
His remains were returned to Bear River by train, then forwarded by horse and sleigh directly to the St. Margaret's Cemetery.
